How does consignment work?
Freighthouse makes it easy to sell your furniture and accessories in our beautiful Southbay showroom. Clients who are remodeling, renovating, or downsizing, can use consignment to recoup some of the value of their pieces with no hassle. Designers use Freighthouse as an outlet for their own inventory or pieces obtained on spec. Anyone interested in selling a great item can consign with Freighthouse!

Are "as is" items acceptable?
All consigned property should be clean and in good condition (free of major damage – average wear from normal use is ok.). A fee will be charged to polish silver, as needed.

Will you pick up my items?
Consignor arranges for delivery/pick up of property with/without independent mover. Freighthouse staff is not responsible for delivery of property or moving heavy items.

How about delivery and shipping?
Freighthouse ships small items via UPS or USPS. Freighthouse does not have the ability to deliver or ship large items but we are pleased to work with shippers to facilitate delivery of merchandise.

What about returns?
The purchase of consignment goods is made with the understanding that the goods have been previously owned and may show signs of normal wear and tear. All items are inspected when we take them in, we feature only high-quality merchandise. We don’t offer refunds or returns, but Freighthouse wants you to be thrilled with your purchase! So – we’ll invite you to take an item on approval for 24 hours before you pay to insure that it works for you.
